Coronavirus important information please read:
As you are aware, there is much information available regarding this.
From a company point of view, we have conducted a comprehensive risk assessment and introduced all of the relevant controls and best practices that we can. These follow NHS and government advise & include self-isolation of any staff who ‘may’ be adversely affected to a minimum of 14 days but up to 28 days.
Hence please be assured, we are as prepared as practically possible, and are working hard to maintain the services you may need / want.
One key aspect will be us asking when making visit appointments, a few new pertinent questions. Please help us by responding positively to these. They are for your benefit and ours.
Apologies, but before we confirm the appointment, we need to ask you a couple of coronavirus related questions as follows:
Q1. Has anyone in the premises travelled from affected parts of the world in the last 28 days?
Q2. Is anyone in the premises involved in either testing for or treating coronavirus diagnosed patients?
Q3. does anyone on the premises fall into an at risk group ( for people who are unaware of the risks)
Over 75’s, has diabetes, heart or cardiovascular issues, is asthmatic or has lung disease, has a low immune condition being treated for cancer (if answer yes then we should really avoid these sites) other underlying conditions may also be relevant and support from the NHS would be required.
Q4. Have you had anyone with symptoms / need to report any case of coronavirus under RiDDoR in the last 28 days?
For any site visits, our engineers will ring, either by phone or your doorbell when they arrive.
Then they will step back from the entrance to a minimum distance of 2m. The engineer will introduce themselves, and then retire to their vehicle, to fit face masks, disposable gloves, over shoes & protective glasses / goggles. This measure is being introduced to ensure a duty of care for both parties, but also to enable us to provide you with the confidence that we are prioritising everyone’s best interests.
We will not be asking you for a signature on respective job sheets while this situation continues. We will simply print your name on the sheet on your behalf.
When we need to conduct a walk test, we will give you adequate notice so that relevant social distancing from our engineer can be arranged around all respective areas.
We would like to encourage you to co-operate with our staff should they need to talk to you about relevant hygiene controls they need your assistance with i.e. washing facilities before and after working and any issues for your awareness going forward.
For any questions or queries you may have, we also have a help email address which we try to review and respond to on a regular basis:
or contact our office on 01707266306
We are sure that this situation will calm, and normality will prevail.
The government will advise us of best actions throughout and we will follow over and above the directives, we hope that you all stay safe and well and would like to assure you of our best endeavours in this difficult time.
Pete Goodchild and the whole team.
